Looking for my tribe

Hello, hola, bonjour, Kon'nichiwa!

I’m a reformed illustration artist and architectural interior designer. I have stumbled into the fascinating world of papercraft engineering. I look forward to designing, building and sharing some interesting projects with everyone.

Welcome Mod. I'll look forward to seeing the work of a "reformed" illustration artist. And I'm wondering if there are 12 steps in your reformation program.

Hello, may name is Scot and ... :breath: I am a tracer.

Welcome. What types of things do you want to design models of?

Mr. King,
As a young man I wanted to be a special effects artist in film and television, but never had the opportunity to fulfill that dream. I am still fascinated with dioramas and immersive crafted environments. I also want to experiment with taking 2D classical and pop-art, and reinterpret them as 3D paper models.

I have a ridiculous amount of templates from some amazing artist to get me started. I have only assembled a couple models to test my skills in this medium. I am really inspired by the works of uhu02, Marko Zubak, and Lee Jihee.

In addition, I am attempting to learn the free 3D modeling software; Blender. Once I know the basics, I also want try using Pepakura, which looks like an amazing tool for paper models and paper crafts.
