Which has always been the case since they released version 4.0 of the software.

You can use Designer to manipulate the file, but are unable to save your edits unless you buy that license.
Both Designer and Viewer are installed at the same time when you download a 4.x version of the software.

I wasn't aware of the latest requirements Rick, as I've been using Designer since ver 2. Back then the free Reader was great for a start, but it wasn't long before I paid to get Designer. Since then all updates have been free. Mind you, even now I still often use Reader as it seems more efficient for isolating individual parts in the 3D view to better see where they fit in and how they are formed. Especially with those annoying pdo files where you find many bits that haven't been moved onto the pages.
