Hello!
As I have been instructed that it's mandatory to do an introduction post (I'm not very good at that lol) to fully activate the account, here we go.
I recently started building card models again, mostly because I also recently started building plastic model kits again (aircraft mostly), and I chose to focus on the 1/144 scale, which sadly doesn't have the greatest availability for kits in that scale, especially with smaller aircraft (like warbirds) and more "obsucre" aircraft - which is a "problem" paper models solve pretty well, while also being able to scale them rather easily to the scale you want them in (as long as the original scale is relatively close at least). (also smaller models = more space for different models :), and I always find it super impressive to look at a tiny model that has a lot of detail cramped onto it). Obviously I have built (terrible) paper models (and also really terrible plastic models) as a kid before, but as I mentioned I only recently started picking up model building again. So far I've built a few of the Scissors & Planes 100 models scaled to 1:144 (with various degrees of success, the original scale being 1:100 makes them scale pretty well to 1:144). |
