New
Hi,
I am fairly new to paper models but I have done a few decent ones. Can someone tell me what type of tools work best and the type of glue you use? Especially round, tubular things give me troubles. Thank you. |

hello and welcome!
i personally use the magik glue, but i mainly make small scale models like 1/100 or 1/87, so i'm not sure would it be the best for bigger scale ones. |

Hi, I use Elmer's white glue, toothpicks for spreading glue on small tabs, a #11 xacto knife (be careful they are sharp.) A 6" and 12" rulers to guide the knife point on straight lines. Black or colored markers for edge coloring the white edge of card stock or/self printed models. Sometimes cereal cardboard boxes can be used for the fuselage former parts if you are making airplanes.

Welcome to the forum
Sharp scissors and blades and a steel ruler are the basic tools. I mostly use pva glue (I only buy the cheap stuff) Trick is not to use too much. Forming a part prior to assembly is best. Tim |
