Hi
My grandfather Harold Pitcairn was involved in early aviation, specifically mail routes and autogiros. I ran across a Rigby autogiro model in a 1941 newspaper and decided to find out more about the paper models. I am curious about whether I can reprint and share the model or if I'd need copyright permissions. Also if there are other examples of any Pitcairn or Cierva aircraft.

Welcome! Great to have a new member with such a famous and historical relative. I look forward to hearing stories about him. There are two free Cierva C.30 kits in 1/87 scale on the downloads section of this site designed by Leif. There also are a number of 1/33 scale Ciervas available for purchase on the eCardmodel site, designed by Marek.

The Cierva's in our download section were actually designed by Roman Vasylev (sp), known as der Kampfflieger back in his designing days.

It would be nice to have a model of the Pitcairn PA-5 Mailwing. I don't think that one is available yet.
