The head, shako, musket, and accoutrements all look excellent.
The disembodied head reminds me of the story of a French Royalist cavalry officer of the Revolutionary era who had a dotted line tattooed around his neck with the words, coupez ici underneath. Don |

coupez ici. Hee hee. This is looking very good so far. A lot of realism. Good idea, having the musket etc ready ahead of time.

Below the waist
A little tricky getting the pose right. Turned out ok.

The weathering and textures are perfect. First time I have seen a 19th century cavalryman's arrogance displayed merely by the placing of his feet.

I really love Zio's artistic sensibility that he brings to his models. As you point out, Don, the weathering and textures are perfect. I really appreciate seeing that in a model so much more than the "factory paint job" that so many professional models have.
This one is coming along beautifully. Chris |

Final Pictures
I finished this one up. No major problems. Minor trimming and lots of test fitting. It turned out better than I expected. Sorry I didn't take more pictures during the build.
