Prudenzio Contest

I have made my contribution and have a bunch of sharp #11 surgical blades at hand. The Kubelwagon2 is my choice for a build in 1/72. Cjwalas has built a beautiful model in the desert version so I guess it is OK to do the other version. After scaling it down and printing it out I'm thinking I have bit off more than I care to chew. But I am not giving up yet. Attached photos show the progress I have made and at this point I can really appreciate the workmanship of cjwalas. Already I have cheated by importing the images into PSP and cut/paste the door latches and shovel onto to the sides so I don't have to cut them out and then paste. With this said I'm going back to the cutting board. John

Photos? Photos?
Great to see the other kubelwagon being done! I think you're wise to rework the smaller details for the smaller scale. Looking forward to following your progress.

Miller high life? How many times have you gotten drunk and crushed a paper model? NVM...Don't answer that...

Mr MidwayMan, to answer your question, this is my third attempt because of crushing. :-) John

Thanks for the kind comments. I knew when I reduced the model to 1/72 it wouldn't be easy and figured it would be around a 15 cuss word model but I have passed that already. Looking ahead I see the hood giving me fits. The edges show up bad in the photo's and I plan a trip to Michaels to find something to address that eye sore. Other than that I'm getting plenty of enjoyment out of this build. John

You're doing great! I'll be interested to see how you do with the fit of the wheels. I wound up having to tweak my fenders a little to get it all to look right, but I think your fenders look better than mine already so it may not be an issue for you. I agree that this is challenge at this scale, but I also agree that it's an enjoyable build. Looking forward to seeing more progress on this.
