Zio Prudenzio Contest Breda 65 Spanish Civil War in 1/100 scale
With continuation of contest until end of october, I started another Zio's models.
The first is a very difficult Breda 65. I study the builds of Don Boose and Cjwalas, and my book from Ali D'Italia about this plane and I believe found the solution... I started from the fuse, I use one tab only for my glues... The important step, in wing root I made a fold line with old blade, in a curvature airfoil... After the preparation and coloring edges I glue all fuselage... Next I building the bottom of wing, note the double curve I obtain with a wire tool front in my hand... The next I made wings and glue in wing roots with careful.. Is the result at the moment but not worry... The secret is glue bottom of wing first rear section, rest dry and glue with carefull inferior face of wing, the Breda is a minor gull arrange in inferior wing root. In the kit this featured is very pronounced, is a mistake of design I believe, but fit the dihedral problem... After adjusted with round tool and hand the result is... The rest is easy. Last note: before building wings i build the rudder to made a strong build in fuselage. Continue tomorrow! Regards my friends! |

Great! It looks as though you've sorted the wing out. Well done! That's the hardest part and you should breeze through the rest of it. I only wish you'd done yours before I did mine!

This is brilliant. I have printed out your images and explanation, as well as the photos of Chris's model, and later this week I am going to resume work on my own. I hope I can join the elite and very small band of those who have succeeded in building this model!

More updates...
More updates, at this time is build the first part of engine, a tedious work because a cylinders carenages, the engine of Breda is a copy of Gnome-Rhone 14K radial engine, so is 14 pieces around the cownling, and three small carenage in the fuse. I passed a more part of day building this small parts (in 1/72 are small, imagine in 1/100 scale!).
The secret is round and form with sphere tool in a rudder drawning to obtain correct shape... After all formated and glue in proper place, I paint to delete white edges... More tomorrow... |

Fantastic job! Well done. Nice job on the rear machine gun! Thanks for getting all the right parts in the right places; it's a good visual instruction for anyone else attempting this model.
