My Osprey languished built, but disassembled, in a box for years. Now that I may be moving overseas again, I decided to do something with it to give it the attention I feel it deserves. I loaned it, and the rest of my collection of paper birds to the local nature reserve.
They are located in the back of the gift shop, and out of direct sunlight. I doubt that I'll recall the models from the refuge, but as a loan, I reserved that right. |

Absolutely "OSPREY-some" !!!
Diderick: FABULOUS work!
As some of you folks might know, I carve birds and fish from wood; and teach others to do so as well. This Osprey model is equal to some of the finest lifelike carvings that I have seen exhibited in shows. I love the pose with fish in talons: it is seen here frequently! I gotta get me a smaller bird kit to check out..... Thanks for sharing this! Regards from Canada, Jim

I really enjoyed lookinig through the photos in your photo stream!
I remember the Bidmobile models from PMI; sadly, I never acquired one. Wyvern |

They're still available.

If you do pick up one, I suggest that you photocopy the head and fish, and practice on them before committing to using the actual kit parts. Oh, and don't try using doll/stuffed animal eyes to "add to the realism"; they won't. Last edited by K'Tesh; 06-11-2012 at 02:09 AM. |

Great Teaching Aid!
I am still amazed:
The anatomy is pretty darn good... I may get my advanced novice students to build one of these up before they start making sawdust... Jim
