Later yet ... Yep, it's now legless-tailless-elephant. I might have some minor fitting problems around the hind legs (my fault, not Canon's). I'll find out in a few days, as we're otherwise engaged for the next three days. Mostly going good so far.

P.S. Airdave, I'm going to pretend I didn't see that ... (But you're welcome).

P.S. Airdave you are right about the cats, they do not belong in a hobby room!

P.P.S. I'll hunt down the roasted chicken -- strike that, I mean Phoenix --model for Musicman -- shouldn't take too long.

P.P.P.S. Found it. For a belated American Thanksgiving, we could all pretend it's a turkey:

Just wanted to THANK YOU Anne,
I was able to download the Chicken model and will try it.
Folks like you are a great example of how nice people
truly are that enjoy this hobby.
YOU ROCK !!!
Best Regards,

OK, I'm going to see if the photo upload curse has been lifted:

Well, I'm happy to have been able to post those photos; better late than never. As noted, I've progressed since then, but don't have any photos right now. The body is complete now and the ears are on.

Tonight's project was the left front leg. It's in three more-or-less conical pieces, not counting the foot. I got the three pieces cut out, shaped, and glued. I glued the upper piece onto the body and stopped for the night because it looks like it would be a good idea to put the right upper leg on before going any further with the left (for access inside the body while gluing). Also, my sweet husband served dessert at that moment, so all paper activities were suspended.

Sigh. I've been trying for several days to post one more update photo of "Stumpy" (right now he only has the stump of the left foreleg attached). I've been unable to do so -- I keep getting a "This page can't be displayed" message after I hit the upload button. It's well below the size limit. Anyhow, I hope to make more progress today, even if I can't show it.

Um. Except, I just tried it ONE MORE TIME, and it worked. What's that saying about insanity being when you keep doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results? Except, when you do that with a computer, sometimes you do get different results. Anyhow, here's "Stumpy."

Later -- even with putting up the Christmas tree and a few other activities, I had time to put the front legs together. My fingers were just barely long enough to reach inside the middle leg piece to press the glue tabs into place, and I switched to using a paintbrush to put glue on the tabs -- toothpicks didn't have enough reach. Let's see if lightning strikes twice -- I'll try to post a photo (no promises).
