Nice job on your first build.
And a good choice. ( Cute little Doggie )
Try some of the other canon models to get a feel for things.
I don't know what you are using for glue,,, but I have always used
Aileen's tacky glue available at most stores like Walmart, Kmart,
Target, ETC.
It takes hold fast and all you have to do is hold the parts together
to get a good fit.
Wipe off excess glue with q-tips.
And then you don't need tape to hold parts while drying.
I use tweezers or long sticks for getting the tabs glued down inside parts you can't reach with your fingers.
Also try 80 weight card stock for these one page models.
It's a bit lighter and will work a bit nicer.
Color the cut edges with sharpies to hide cut marks.
