Thanks Tom and Elliott! I got good credits at the home base too. My wife who's a pro gardener always criticizes the vegetation I try to build but this passed the inspection with flying colors. ;-)

Few words about the flower: the petals are red crepe paper colored inside with colored pens and pastels. The stem and the pistil (one piece running through the petals) is copper wire covered with paper and painted red and green. The stigmas and stamen are thin paper strips with a glue and paint blob on the other end and then glued in place.

@rmks2000 - you're welcome.

Very Cool looking build, great photo as well! Looks like you used some serious F-Stop to catch the wings in stop action!

Thanks eatcrow2 and Mike. About the photo: I tried to simulate a fast shutter speed wildlife photo so I stopped the the aperture at 5.6 and focused to the eye of the bird (both wings are blurred and the depth of field is quite narrow). Just a quick hand held shoot out in the natural light.

Yes Johnny I saw a while ago and it's great - even in preventing dust. ;-) Did Johan ever explain how he did it? If so I missed that.

Thanks Kevin, fun build and now I probably have to acquire Johan's book to be able to build more.
