Johan Scheft's Hummingbird

I needed a quick build after the holidays to get me on building mode again. This one is the new addition by Johan Scherft already advertised here.

Very nice build if you folow the instructions of the designer and folow his build order. You can find the video here.

The flower is a different story. I found a tutorial how to make a hibiscus - presented by a nice lady from India I believe. I didn't have all the materials she used so I had to improvise a bit. Mine is not as pretty as hers but this was my first - so forgive me that.

Give it a try, it's a nice bird model.

Tappi

P.S. Still no section for animals...sigh.

Now that is a beautiful model. Well done, Tappi. The bird model is a work of art, but your flower base elevates it even further.

Tappi,

Rejoice!

I must have not seen the requests for a separate Animal section, so I have added it as a sub forum under the Figures and Anime forum, I will move the animal threads over when I get a chance, but yours is the first to be added to this new section, The Zoo

Rick

Thank's Don. When I saw the model I knew right away it needed a flower.

Rick, that was fast. To have the first thread in a new forum is an honor to me. I do rejoice!

Very nice. Mine is built (the larger size), but I don't know how long the beak should be. Any suggestions?

Johan suggests 4 cm in his tutorial for the bigger one.

A beautiful model Tapcho. Agree with Don that the flower makes hte hummingbird even better. You've outdone yourself this time.
