canon mixture

As the title suggests, here are two models from Canon. From a size point of view they couldn't be more different ----

The first is an Apatosaurus, I reduced the kit by printing two of their A4 pages to one of mine. This is the second attempt at this kit – I managed to put the front legs on the wrong side. Second time round I numbered the parts and even read the instructions ;-) Other than this – Hmmm “issue” the kit went together well, even with the smaller scale.

The model is 15 inches (38cm) long. The figure is just under half an inch – I added it to give an idea of scale ---- sort of. He/she came from the Christmas Market diorama I sent a while ago.

The other beast is a White Striped Longhorn Beetle, this one I made full size – it has a bit more impact that a small version. Again, another build without any problems The beetle is three inches long and the horns, six inches. Even knowing it's paper my wife still doesn't like it ;-))))

Cheers

Mike

Nice job on the dino Mike.
Looks like alot of detailed work.
I haven't tried a canon dino yet,,, But I really enjoy their cats
and dogs,,, and other critters.
I have done the Beetle too.
I know what you mean about your wife not liking it. ( HE HE )
I was taking a picture of mine outside on a tree when a friend of mine
drove up.
He saw the bug and told me to be careful.
I then told him I would show it to him and not realizing it was
a paper model, he freaked out when I went to grab it.
Got a real good laugh out of that one.
Here is mine for you to see.
Best Regards,
Gary

Darn! Why didn't think of that ;-)))

I think I started at the deep end with the dino - next time it will be something with a shorter tail and head.

Cheers
