Thank you for all the comments..
The base is just a scrape piece of Styrofoam about 6" square that I scooped out a good bit of the center.. filled with sand, because I know that I needed some weight to keep it from toppling over.. sealed the bottom with some cereal box card, and then just experimented around with detailing the top. It needs a base, so that anyone looking /handling the model will not be squeezing the model. I have just about everyone trained who comes over here, to pick up any model by the base. The ground cover is based on color photos that I purloined from H.G. Wells quite a while back, so it should be very accurate.

Thanks for the info on other Dino's, but the next build will probably be a human type figure.

Just odd bits of stuff picked up off the beach, with some extra Woodland Scenics products that I have lying about that's been saved over the years.

Excellent work by designer and builder alike in translating such a complex shape into paper! High marks for part design, graphics, assembly and presentation!

I think this display is amazing.

Great work. Looking at the final result makes me question that it is paper. =)

Congratulations! POTW.

Haven't been interested in this thread....Until it hit the Front Page! Now thinking it might be worth a try.

Thank you for sharing your build.
