I'm so impressed by these two models by Malcolm Topp, to design these by hand is a bit mind boggling to me.

Don

I have been to Cape May quite a bit during the summer and enjoy the flag ceremony at Sunset Beach. I was not aware of the Merlins in Cape May and will have to keep an eye out this Fall. Thanks for the heads up.

Nice work with your Merlin Glen.
I had never heard of them, so I enjoyed reading your introduction.
Not sure . . . but I don't think we have them here.

Ah! The wonderful merlin. Great result Glen and amazing that it survived the journey in a suitcase. I built this one in 2004 and it was an absolute joy to make. Very good design and great fit of all the parts. The Osprey with trout is also a fantastic model but very big. Started with it long ago but never finished it - no place to put it and the wife didn't want me to hang it from a ceiling. Got damaged during moving house and paper eating bugs. Alas, end of the story....

Regards,
Erik

Thank you Erik glad you like it, the Merlin is a masterful design. I know what you mean about the Osprey, I'm in the process of reducing it in size to give it a go.
