That is a terrific-looking Megaceryle alcyon.

The fish blends right in with the riverbed pebbles.

Just kidding of course Don,( I recall you being accused of such things with the old names for ducks...) the cool thing about the pebble picture I found is the faint ripples maybe not visible that are around where the branch enters the base.
