Johan Scherft "Western Bluebird"

I managed find these models on ebay, and this is the first one from the 4 model birds that it contains. This is a pretty model again that goes together nicely. My only alteration was bit of coloring changes no real change at all to the model. We don't have Bluebirds down here by our house, but they are pretty easy to find in the open fields and plains nearby, and my puppy and I took a hike and came across some about a month ago. We also have Mountain Bluebirds in the West that are really more a sky blue, they are easy to find in Montana, or occasionally in migration around here. They prefer open country as well, not likely to see in the woods. Such pretty and quiet little birds.

You are off to a good new year beginning Glen.
Very artistically done.

We see bluebirds in this area, but not as often as we would like.
They look a lot like your model.

A Bluebird of Happiness.

Very nice - one rarely sees pics of this one.

I bought the book when I was overseas, made the models then and gave them all away!

Super pretty bluebird in very nice presentation. I build these too and like Kevin have none in my posession, there's always some friends wanting them. And good so since I have very little storage space for built models.

I think this one is really nice I have not got to any others yet, I did import this into Photoshop so can make again if I would like, it really is pretty similar to his spritely little Robin.

By the way these are sold in book or in my case I bought a box with them in it and the small instruction booklet, there is also a Cardinal, a White Breasted nuthatch and a Goldfinch in this set.

Tapcho - most of my models go away to friends - once I am certain they will look after them. Or if it is a child, play them to death!

These models are a very nice and appreciated give away, a memory a of an evening or party. I have my fun building and the little bird goes to see places. I know Johan’s book/books but haven’t ordered them yet. Partly because of the postal fees that have sky rocketed during past years. The golden days of ordering stuff from Amazon and eBay are long gone. Sadly so. But Johan’s web store and PayPal keep me stocked.
