Looks like this is about the size of a Goldfinch.
I think I have seen these around here. I'll start paying closer attention when I am out in the woods and wetlands.

Hi Mike, you'll see probably several pretty warblers in your area, I usually hear them before I see them so listen too! There is beauty around ....

The rest of this model is not too bad, but positioning the bird takes some patience. I found it helpful to test the way you like it for awhile, with the legs on to see what it may look like. then I glued to legs into little holes made for the shortened wires, and let them harden up to put the bird on them, and add superglue to the leg where it enters the bird to have it hold that position.

Once again a very beautiful build. Really enjoy seeing what you're up too!

Pretty sure I've seen them before, can't remember where.

Glen, for me a Meadow Lark early in the morning, far distance is the sound I like to listen too. It tells me I'm home in southern Idaho. A friend has a place not far from the Utah border, Elba, Idaho, and the first morning visiting, lay there and listen to them sing. Very relaxing, and they fill your heart with joy.

Mike

Thank you Don hardly belated still posting pictures! I think these are very difficult to find due to their habits, and I love the coloring but haven't been fortunately enough to see one either... maybe someday?

A few pics of this bird model and I'll try to get to ecardmodels shortly.

Beautiful. Very artistic rendition.
You prove how well birds can be modeled in card/paper.
