Not an airliner, nor a whale, but I did turn a fish into an aircraft once

To me, it makes sense that aircraft and marine life both travel through fluid media. Love to see what you come up with

Whale construction complete

OK that juvenile whale was pretty darn small. Some of the facets were only a few paper thicknesses across, to the point where they were kind of more "suggestive" than fully evident. The shape looks all right though!

Next coloring, then on to making a mobile or "stabile" or the like as a mini-scene with the plane.
Any suggestions on how to mount the three models in the air? I was thinking of making wireframe saddles for each of their bellies to rest on. That way they're not so fragile: if someone bumps them, they'll just move or fall off rather than tearing or breaking. Also that way they can be picked up as individual models rather than being permanently affixed to the scene.

Thanks VK, I went with a mobile suspended using thread after all.

See the thread in the dioramas forum for more pics and details.
