Johan Scherft's European Goldfinch (perched)

As a break from building aircraft I thought I would make another of Johan's excellent bird models. This the European Goldfinch which comes with the American Goldfinch in the same download. Went together very easily and makes a nice model.

Beautiful little bird.
But this photo makes me feel that it would be perhaps better to sacrifice the purist approach to the paper-only modelling and hide the wire inside one of his legs... Maybe I must try to do so myself next time...

Thanks! Yes that's a good idea re hiding the wire in the legs - will try it next time as well. On the other hand I could have just photoshoped the wire out like I did in this photo of my Bluethroat.

Thanks Erik! Yes I also have that model on my todo list. This one was a "special request" from my wife who wanted it as an ornament and preferred the perched version.
