Warhammer Tank ...mostly not plastic.
Well, as this build is MOSTLY not plastic, I thought I'd post it here, rather than in the other things we do section. This is the first of 3 (or 4) tanks that I'm doing for my 40 hammers army. Its a complete redesign of the Leman Russ Battle tank, this being the 'punisher' version.
I've had many of the more tedious parts laser cut from 1mm card, including the wheels and tracks, which makes the job far less painful. I've made use of quite a few standard plastic parts, mostly to provide a strong visual link between my model and the one its representing, and the rivets (about 1200 per tank...) are sliced up plastic rod. However, the main structure, wheels, tracks, and many of the details are card. |

Wow!
Looks like a psychedelic tank! Colorful, too colorful! Really nice precision though! Thanks for sharing! Russell |

well, it's the same colours used by commonwealth forces in north Africa in WW2. I've toned down the pictures a bit with an editor, but my camera seems to think all reds should be fluorescent.

Well, as for WH40k tank it's quite toned down, not too very colorfull.
I saw this project of yours on some other forum - great stuff. I'm very slowly building my own all-paper IG Armoured Company |

Great idea and great model. It looks like a mini Baneblade. I like it.

Mouse... that is incredible.
Although I find it funny that your initial pictures were of a rough piece and then the next set pictures are of a finished showpiece. Kind of like a picture of a stack of lumber and the next picture, a mansion. lol |
