I'll look into that, and start planning for routing wires where they'll be needed. Thanks.

Current status: annoyed with epoxy, and screwed up by being impatient so I have to start over for the ~5th time on the cargo bay. Looking forward to moving on to the rest of the ship.

This is my first attempt at the working grav rotor, glued everything together and had it derail the first time it turned it on. So on to the 2nd attempt.

Success!! I rebuilt the grav rotor and after trying three different motors pulled from a tape player, CD drive and a servo, none of which worked, I broke down and ordered one from Ebay, but it works perfect so I'm happy. So here is a couple pics of the completed "beehive' and grav rotor. It's not perfect but I'm pretty happy with it.

Mirco- I changed the spring layout a little bit, I made them a little longer so they aren't so stiff, it seemed to help.

Success is energizing, especially after a few unsuccessful tries.
Looks like a lot of gear reduction on that little motor.

Looks good papa. What's the centre of gravity like. I'm thinking of stripping a quad copter, to see if it will fit, some how Would love to see this flying.

That looks quite cool. I had been wondering if you were test-building Mirco's colored version, but it seems that's your own styling? Very atypical, but also very cool looking. And a good build, too. Hard to believe you were new to the hobby when you started helping!
