Unfold???

First of all, Bruno, thanks for the design tutorial you made a while back. I saw it recently and read through it, the only confusing part is when you said "By unrolling the cross section, I am able to position the different parts..." I saw the screenshot, but don't get how to unroll the cross-section. For reference I use inkscape for my recolors and hopefully my designs .

My to-do list all in 1/200 and 1/300

-B-66 (modified of the A-3)
-AV-8B+ (new harrier parts)
-F-8 (all new)
-landing gear for all 1/200 or 300 carrier aircraft

I feel like an idiot asking this. My searches have turned up nothing. Can anyone point me to example builds of Bruno's 100 Mig-15s and 21s? I just bought them. I have lousy spatial comprehension, so I just can't determine where everything goes. I have solid technique; I just lack imagination.
Also what does everyone use for pitot tubes for the Migs? I was thinking about thin styrene rods.

Thanks to the wonderful work of Kggmodel, you can find in this post the list of other posts with pictures.
1935 Mikoyan-Gurevich Mig 21F - page #959

The Mig 15 I think is from the period of my sabbatical.

Lonnie, Péricles did a couple of -15s in his thread. Starts here:

My Scissors and Planes Collection in 1/100 - Take 2

Re pitot tubes, I use those refillable pencil leads you get from stationary stores (or Ebay). Need to be painted but come .3, .5 and .7mm. Easy to cut and even sand to a point.
Unpainted they make excellent machine gun and cannon barrels for 1/100 models.
Hope this helps.
