Your T-33 thread has brought back many memories for me. Back in the 80s, I was a Sub-lieutenant working on HMCS Margaree. Once a year we would conduct 'Target' practice, shooting at targets towed by CT-33s out of Shearwater. Back then it was customary for the ship to send one of the crew up with the pilot showing 'good faith' that we wouldn't be shooting at the aircraft. I was usually selected for this job as (1) I had completed 'high altitude training' and (2) I was always getting into trouble and the ship's Captain didn't like me.

In the summer of 1986 - I was lucky enough to have the opportunity for a few flights in the back seat of the T-33. I was given a camera to take some pictures.

I was in aircraft 656 taking pictures of aircraft 266. No colour film - so I have attached a stock colour photo of the livery.

Thank you for bringing back these memories. It feels like it was yesterday.
Very interesting history and great photos thank you for share!

The next livery of this model that will be released soon is that of a CT-133 Silver Star of the Canadian Armed Forces 434 Squadron. The model is in grey air-superiority colours with subdued markings depicting the twilight years of the Silver Stars long service with the CAF. link to models

10,000 Hours!

A testament to the durability of the T-33 design, this CT-133 achieved 10,000 hours of flight time by the early 1980's and was rewarded with this colourful livery. She flew with the Kiwi Flight of the 1st Canadian Air Group at Baden Söllingen, West Germany.

This is the next CT-133 model which will soon appear at Ecardmodels

Oregon National Guard

Are you ready for another T-33 model? This latest livery which is available through Ecardmodels is that of the Oregon National Guard's 123 Fighter Interceptor Squadron:
