Thumbs up

That was relatively painless. Saturday or Sunday I'll get the flap sizes done and then we will be set to print.

Talking

Alright! Flaps are sized, edges are colored and parts are even numbered. The big bot is print ready but my 3D muse keeps cracking that whip so I started the second model from the planned set.
**DISCLAIMER**
I am working way, way, WAY outside of my 'comfort zone' now. I have nothing but the deepest and most abiding respect for those who design and build aviation and nautical models and hope one day to consider myself to have the patience and maturity to build a respectable sailing ship or classic airplane model (I'm pushin' 52 now and that maturity level ain't even on the horizon but hey, there's always hope!)
**END DISCLAIMER**

With that out of the way here's the first days progress on Sky Captain model#2:

Manta Station

Be gentle. It's my first time.

(I did get a handle on Metasequoias texture function but the textured item is the Union Jack on the conn. That flight deck is 100% modeled in.)

I think that you're way closer to that maturity than you give yourself credit for...loving your Manta already!!

You had me nervous for a moment but I quickly checked with friends and coworkers and they assured me "No maturity whatsoever". (That was close!)

So I spent my morning-pre-work-coffee-swilling hours the past few days driving forward and we now have engines, glue points modeled in, bulkheads and a deck brace pattern for cutting a corrugated cardboard or foam deck filler.

Size of this lil baby will be 60cm in length, printed on letter size stock in landscape format.

This weekends goal: Hull details - there's a lot of them.

The ship looks great...not sure if you'll want to attempt the curves of her Captain..?

Looks fine

Maybe it is wort to design some kind of holder, as the propellers may be damaged?
