HMCS, i just recieved his autographed print a few weeks ago myself, he was in San Antonio for a luncheon, and a friend was able to get the signed print. That had to be amazing to sit and listen to him.

They used to do a re-enactment of the Doolittle raid out of the Fresno CA area, even took off from one of the modern carriers, the Ranger I think. KMY Radio 580 am talk show host Ray Appletonm was really into it, they stopped doing it after the General dies, remember being at work when a formation of 4 B-25"s 9Well 3 B-25's and a PBJ which was the USMC version of a b-25 if you want to get technical!) Man was that something AWESOME!

I'm not sure where he was when he got it, but I was told it was a private lunch, wonder if he lives close by me.

Josh, there is a periodical luncheon with the aces here in SA (part of the Friends of the Aces club), but on the last one, Lt. Cole didn't attend the March luncheon as he was getting a physical to be in shape for the Doolittle Raiders Reunion. So I guess your friend saw him before that.

HMCS, there is a saying that goes "Books, Cars and Wives are not to be lent". I too learned that the hard way (on books that is )
