Very awesome contest...I would chime in on all threads, but "WOW" a bunch of times in a row would be redundant...so how's about one big WOW!!!

I want to also chime in on congratulating every one involved on this great event on Papermodelers.com.

All the models are just GREAT, coming from a bunch of AWESOME modelers and friends.

And extensive THANKS to Ron, for making this possible. Thank you OLDTROLL!!!

The hard thing is... I have to VOTE!!! Oh my!! I thought the OldTroll was going to do THAT... Not an easy task!

I already told him he was evil. It's kind of like having to cut your own willow switch, isn't it?

To the nine "finishers" who have cast their ballots - thanks for voting early and often! To the four remaining voters - just a reminder that your votes must be received by tomorrow (Thursday) night, 11:00PM Eastern. It is a very close race at the moment and your votes could make the difference between paper-modeling glory or oblivion for the contenders.

Vote Early Vote Often. That's the way we do it in New Mexico. Of course counting can take many weeks or months!

Congrats on a well run contest, Old Troll. Everyone of the build threads in this contest were some of the most visited threads at the forums. Well done all!!

As for the voting system...sounds like something right up a Chicagoans alley. Voting as many times as they can is their specialty! 8v)

Well, folks, the results are in! <<Drum roll>>

When the points for the preliminary standings were combined with the points for the final voting by the "finishers" the official (and irrevocable) results are :

First Place - cjwalas and his Westland Lysander

Second Place - boosed and his Handley-Page Hampden

Third Place - dansls1 and his Bristol Beaufort

Congratulations to them and to all of you who participated. I will contact the top three finishers regarding their prizes and will have a final posting when they have made their selections.

Thanks guys. We ended up with some very nice models that didn't get prizes, I'm very honored that you all voted me as one of the winners.

Lots of fun and more models to build - what more could one ask for?

This was a great contest and I learned a lot seeing so many of these old kits turn into models. Great work everyone! And thanks for the honor. Great idea for a contest, Ron.
