I use this all the time; the NTcutterPro A
just snap it off when it goes blunt cheap too; 35 blades for less then 2$ (2,5€) the BD-100 blades have a sharper angle then the normal blades. Last edited by billy.leliveld; 04-05-2009 at 12:30 PM. |

Traditional metal handle exacto with Excel brand blades. It makes a great double tasker for rolling tubes of certain sizes - even as a starter for rolling smaller tubes (although often I start with an old metal cigar tube I have).

I use surgical blades #25 for most work and #11 for very small/delicate cuts. Both mounted in respective handles - flat so they stay in the same spot I put them
For a heavy cutting I use Olfa hobby knife with snap blades.

I use an old X-Acto hexagonal handled one with Excel #11 blades. Lately, I've been finding I'm actually holding the blade rather than the handle. Unless I lose it, I don't think I'll buy another one.

Standard #1 X-Acto handle, must have 6 or 7 with the couple I use the most have the rubber anti-roll pieces on them. Still have a couple of 100 packs of #11 stainless steel blade left over from my graphics days.

I used to be a big fan of the trusty Xacto, the favorite one I have has a blue plastic handle that is fat towards the blade end with an aluminum ferule and clamping screw in the blade end. I added the rubber cushion from a BIC pen to prevent slippage when cutting and provide a better grip.
That was until I got an Excel all aluminum job. While the handle is the basic straight one with some corrugated gripping surface, I also added a BIC cushion grip to it. I like it much more than the Xacto simply because the blade is much better, the steel is different, the tip has yet to part company with the rest and the sharpness is just as good as it was when I first bought it. I am looking to get some more blades, Excel brand of course, but it is proving to be an improvement over the trusty old Xacto just by reason of the blade alone. I will probably add an Excel blade to the old blue Xacto handle when I find some and alternate between the two.

I am using generic #11 scapel blades, 200 for about $8-10 on E-bay. They are basically the same shape as the Excel or Xacto #11. They stay sharp longer and are much cheaper.

Same here, but I haven't worn out the rubber. I like the feel of it in my hand. The standard X-Acto for #11 blades is way too skinny for me. I use Excel blades and an Olfa mat.
